Privacy Policy
This policy applies to visits to Shadowrocket Q&A (shdwfaq.com). This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual, with guidance on verifying the genuine app, using it, and troubleshooting issues. This policy covers the website’s handling of visit data; it does not replace the app’s privacy disclosures or Apple’s policies for its store services.
1. Scope and data boundaries
This is a static content website. It does not offer account registration, sign-in, email subscriptions, or contact forms that collect email addresses. You can read the manual without submitting your name, phone number, payment information, or Apple Account credentials. Do not include passwords, full subscription URLs, server credentials, or logs containing personal information in page URL parameters.
This site does not provide node services and does not provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. Configuration instructions assume you already have your own subscription or server details. A one-time client purchase is not a network service plan; buying the app and using a service you already have are separate matters. Browsing this website does not give the site access to Config, connection logs, or Data in the app.
2. Visit data and analytics
When you visit a page, the infrastructure hosting the site may process technical information such as your IP address, request time, page path, browser type, and response status to deliver pages, diagnose errors, and protect site security. Your browser may also send referrer information with a request; the details depend on your browser settings and request policies.
We use analytics to understand page views, device types, referral sources, and interactions on the site, helping us improve chapter organization, mobile readability, and troubleshooting access. The App Store product page button in the download guide records click events to show whether the store link is used. A click does not indicate a completed purchase and does not include payment results.
Analytics data is used for site maintenance and content analysis. The site does not ask you to submit app configurations or server passwords through analytics, nor does it use analytics events to verify an individual’s purchase eligibility. The data collected and retention period depend on the deployment configuration; we do not promise a specific level of anonymization or a fixed retention period that cannot be verified.
3. Cookies and local storage
Reading the site does not require creating an account or saving a sign-in cookie. Whether analytics uses cookies, and which browser identifiers it uses, depends on the analytics configuration in use. If these features write cookies or use local storage, they should be limited to analytics or page interactions and will not be used to store subscription credentials or payment information.
Use your browser’s site data settings to review, restrict, or clear this site’s cookies and local storage. The names of these controls may vary by device. After clearing data, you may need to set some preferences again, and analytics recognition may change. Page cache and cookies are separate mechanisms, so clearing one may not clear the other.
4. External App Store link
Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms, and the App Store product page is the only place to get it: App Store product page. The page is operated by Apple. Once you visit it, sign-in, purchases, payments, restoring purchases, and related data processing are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policy. Check the App Store page for system requirements and compatibility.
This site does not receive Apple Account passwords, payment details, or order information through that link, and a button click cannot confirm whether the app has been installed. This policy covers only this website. For data processing while using the app, consult the in-app disclosures and privacy information shown on the App Store page.
5. Policy updates and questions
If the site’s data practices, analytics features, or storage purposes change, we will update the relevant terms on this page and revise the month shown at the top. Refer to the current page. The update month indicates when the website policy was revised; it does not indicate when the Shadowrocket app was released or updated.
For help checking the purchase process, permission prompts, or configuration steps, see Troubleshooting or Getting Started. Before troubleshooting, remove personal information and access credentials from screenshots, logs, and URLs. Our help pages do not ask you to submit such sensitive information.
